Northern Spark depends on volunteers like you to run smoothly. Every year, more than 200 volunteers help light up the night for thousands of festival-goers. Volunteers help out in 3-hour shifts, which means that you don’t have to miss out on the festival to help make it happen!
Volunteers are needed Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.

What will I do?
There are multiple ways to volunteer at Northern Spark. No matter what type of person you are, we have a job for you.
Roving Info Guide—Be the go-to for festival information.
Great for people who: like to walk around, talking with others, and/or volunteering in pairs.
Sparker Barker—Pass around the hat for Northern Spark!
Great for people who: have a flair for the theatrical, are comfortable asking for donations, or prefer to volunteer in pairs.
Info Hub—Run the Northern Spark information headquarters.
Great for people who: are organized, like to stay in one place, and have experience making cash and credit card transactions.
Survey Seeker—Record people’s reaction to the festival.
Great for people who: are go-getters, like talking with others, and have experience with survey administration.
Launch Party Assistant—Help throw our opening night party!
Great for people who: want to volunteer early on festival night, don’t mind standing, and enjoy the party atmosphere.
How Much Time Is Required?
Besides attending one volunteer orientation prior to the festival, you can help out for as little as 3 hours (or as much as you want!). This means volunteers can (and typically do) participate in the festival before or after their shifts.
